Every player and Jev receive the same four-letter start and target pair.

Change one letter at a time to turn the start word into the target. Every middle word must be in the curated American English list. Maximum eight steps.

Word Ladder scoring

Finish +1000, shortest path +500, and -80 per extra valid step. If the target is not reached within eight steps, the score is 0.
